Darkness and clouds lead to rain...
The day is Monday, January 2, 2006 ... Well it''s that time of the year again... back to school after a very fast winter break. I must say I had a nice break again this year, perhaps better than last year''s Toronto trip. Anyway the reason I write this entry is to recap on life; its simple beauty that needs to be appreciated.
Today I went through all my old school notes all the way from grade 8. Among my notes were more notes from friends I have grown apart from over the years. I would like to blame my astrology on why I grew apart from them, but really is there a point? Many of you must have those childhood friends that you admired, loved, cherished, that just changed, even if they are still in the same city. I see these old friends from time to time and I know they recognize me, but neither party makes a move to rekindle that old friendship. Some party animals, some studious angels, and others just the same as I had known them before.
Among the mass confusion of clutter, I have saved the christmas cards, the letters, and the notes from the past. I noticed that I have a lot of JUNK! I am sure you guys keep a lot of your stuff at your homes'', is it time to clean it out? Move on with a new year? Beauty is in simplicity, keep life present and it will be simple. The past makes us who we are, theres no reason to relearn your past by saying "I will look at this again, just not yet!" Seeing my past certificates, notes, and books makes me feel better about who I am today, but it doesnt change anything. What happens now is what happens. Don''t get me wrong, I am not about to throw everything that defines me out, I am just going to cherish the ones that are really important. Maybe these will be in the junk pile again four years down the road? I just know that christmas cards received past christmas will always have a place in my heart, 05.
